The Department contemplate to procure more machinery to update the department for developmental works, since most of the existing machinery are very old which is beyond economic repair. So with addition of more machines yearly if sufficient fund is provided, the Department will be able to meet the requirement of heavy machinery for the development of the state under various schemes and Departments. And while improving the revenue of the Department it will make an impact on the State revenue as well.

The Department envisages to promote extensive use of earth moving and construction machinery for faster and economical, as well as for good quality development works of this hilly states, in various sector such as road construction, villages development, land development and other related Agricultural- allied activities. For a resources deficient state like ours, the department is earning a reasonable amount of revenue, every year through hire charges of machinery.
