1. To be responsible for Social Audits of the MGNREGS and other Government programmes/Schemes as and when entrusted by the State Government of Nagaland.
  2. Put in place vigilance and ensure Transparency and accountability in the implementation of a programme.
  3. Inform and educate people about their rights and entitlements under the Law in the course of conducting social audits.
  4. Provide a collective platform such as social audit Gram Sabha for people to express their needs and grievances.
  5. Promote people’s participation in all stages of implementation.
  6. Strengthen participation in Gram Sabha (GS), make it inclusive and participatory institution and make it a platform for positive collective action.
  7. Improve capacity of local stake holders who participate in the social audit.
